Lotte World is one of Seoul’s best-known amusement parks and one of the places that has shaped modern Jamsil.
Its biggest advantage is convenience. The complex includes a large indoor amusement park, an outdoor section called Magic Island, restaurants, shops, and direct access from Jamsil Station.
The indoor park makes Lotte World especially useful during Korea’s hot summers, cold winters, and rainy season. Magic Island provides outdoor rides and the familiar castle scenery beside Seokchon Lake.

Some tickets must still be exchanged or verified before entry. Read the booking instructions carefully.

Take screenshots in advance. Mobile data or public Wi-Fi can be unreliable around a crowded station or entrance.

How to Get to Lotte World
Take Seoul Subway Line 2 or Line 8 to Jamsil Station.
From inside the station, follow the English signs for:

Lotte World is connected to the station through an underground passage, so you do not normally need to go outside.

The underground area around Jamsil Station is large and can be confusing on a first visit.
Follow the signs marked “Lotte World Adventure” rather than relying only on an exit number. If you are uncertain, ask a station or shopping-mall employee before going outside.
Taking the wrong exit can result in a surprisingly long walk around the complex.

Lotte World Opening Hours
Lotte World normally opens at 10:00 a.m., but closing times may vary depending on the date, season, special events, and park operations.
Ticket sales and admission may end before the park itself closes.

Ride operations can also change because of maintenance, rain, strong winds, cold weather, or safety inspections.
This is particularly important for Magic Island. If an outdoor ride is important to you, check its operating status early.

The park involves more walking and standing than many first-time visitors expect.

You may use your phone for tickets, maps, photographs, translation, and waiting-time information.
A Light Layer of Clothing
Indoor temperatures can feel different from the weather outside.
A Small Bag
Large bags and shopping bags can become uncomfortable on rides. Lockers are available in and around the park.
Identification
Some discounted tickets or international-visitor products may require a passport or another form of identification.
Can You Leave and Re-enter?
Re-entry policies can vary depending on the ticket and current park rules.
Do not assume that you can leave for lunch and automatically return.

There are restaurants, snack stands, cafés, and food areas inside Lotte World.
