Sinbad’s Adventure
Sinbad’s Adventure opened in 1990 and has now been operating for more than 35 years.
It is one of Lotte World’s signature classic dark rides. You board a large boat and follow Sinbad through underground caves, treasure rooms, monsters, and a long journey to rescue a princess.
It may look old-fashioned and gentle compared with newer rides.
Do not let your guard down.
The darkness, sound effects, and sudden drops can still surprise first-time visitors.

Sinbad has been fighting the same enemies and trying to rescue the same princess for more than 35 years. If you see him still struggling in the darkness, please give the man a little encouragement. He has been working this shift for a very long time.

Local mission: Keep your eyes open during the dark sections and try to spot the moment when relaxed passengers suddenly realize that the boat is about to drop.
Flume Ride
The Flume Ride is another attraction that has been part of Lotte World since its early years.
You travel through an indoor jungle-themed course before the boat reaches its final drop.
Yes, you may get wet.
The amount depends on your seat, the boat, and luck.
But do not worry too much.

People around Jamsil like to joke that the Flume Ride water is as clean as purified water. I am not suggesting that you drink it—but a small splash is nothing to fear.
Getting splashed is part of the experience. Protect your phone and anything that should remain dry.

Recommended for: Families with older children and visitors who want moderate thrills
Prepare: Protect your phone and avoid carrying uncovered drinks or important papers.
Spanish Pirate Ship
The Spanish Pirate Ship is Lotte World’s large indoor swinging ship.
The middle seats provide a more moderate experience. The seats near both ends rise higher and feel considerably stronger.
Local mission: Sit as close to one end as you safely can and raise your hands when the ship descends—only if you feel comfortable and can follow all safety instructions.
For a few moments, you may understand what Odysseus and his crew felt while crossing a rough and unforgiving sea.
Well, perhaps a very small indoor version of it.
Recommended for: Moderate and strong thrill seekers
Not recommended for: Visitors who strongly dislike heights, repeated swinging or stomach-dropping sensations
Conquistador
Conquistador is often called the spinning basket or spinning barrel by visitors.
The ride itself rotates, but passengers can also turn the central wheel to make their individual basket spin faster.
If you want the full experience, ride before eating a heavy meal.
Local mission: Gather your group around the center wheel and spin it together. Turn it with determination. Turn it as if your pride depends on it.
At first, it feels like a cheerful family ride.
Then one competitive person begins turning the wheel with both hands.
Suddenly, everyone learns an important lesson about centrifugal force.

Spin it properly and you may feel as if every cell in your body has suddenly woken up and started moving at the same time. Some cells may even file a formal complaint afterward.
The dizziness may remain longer than the ride itself.
Recommended for: Friends and families who enjoy spinning rides
Avoid or ride carefully if: You are prone to motion sickness or dizziness, or have neck, back, heart or other relevant health conditions
Carousel
The carousel is not about speed or thrills.
It is one of the most recognizable photo locations inside Lotte World and looks especially beautiful after the surrounding lights come on.
This is also the attraction to choose when your group needs a short break but does not want to stop having fun.
K-drama fans may remember the famous line from Stairway to Heaven:
“Love always comes back!”
At the carousel, everything seems to come back eventually—including the same horse every few seconds.
Recommended for: Couples, families, children, older visitors and anyone who wants beautiful photographs
Best time: Return in the evening when the lights create a more romantic background.

French Revolution
Do not underestimate French Revolution because it is inside a building.
This indoor roller coaster moves through dark spaces with sudden turns, drops, and inversions.
Some local visitors come to Lotte World specifically to ride it.
The warning is simple:
The queue can be very long.
But for roller-coaster fans, the experience can justify the wait.

From outside, it looks like a small roller coaster hidden inside a building. Once the ride begins, the building seems to disappear very quickly.
Recommended for: Strong thrill seekers and roller-coaster fans
Not recommended for: Young children or visitors who dislike inversions, darkness and sudden direction changes

Bumper Cars
Bumper cars are simple, familiar and still entertaining.
The basic rule is to drive, collide, laugh and discover which friend has been waiting all day for an opportunity to crash into you.
If the queue is very long, do not become obsessed. Check again later rather than sacrificing too much of your day.
Recommended for: Friends, couples, families and moderate thrill seekers
World Monorail
The World Monorail travels above parts of Lotte World and may connect the indoor Adventure area with Magic Island when the complete route is operating.
It is useful both as transportation and as a way to rest your legs while looking down at the park.
Outdoor service may change because of weather, maintenance or operational conditions. Check the route before joining the queue.

Across Dark
Across Dark is an immersive XR attraction combining movement, sound and screen-based storytelling.
It is suitable for families and visitors who want something different from a conventional roller coaster.
Its operating schedule can be limited, and it may be unavailable because of maintenance or program changes. Check its status before waiting.
Recommended for: Families, technology fans and moderate thrill seekers
Be careful if: You are sensitive to motion simulators or screen-induced dizziness
Balloon Ride
Balloon Ride is another long-running Lotte World attraction.
It travels slowly near the top of the indoor park, providing a panoramic view of Adventure below.
Waiting times can become surprisingly long because it is popular with families and visitors who avoid intense rides.

Pharaoh’s Fury

It provides movement and excitement without reaching the intensity of Atlantis, Gyro Drop or French Revolution.
It is a good compromise when one person wants excitement and another person refuses to ride anything extreme.
Recommended for: Families and moderate thrill seekers

Best Thrill Rides on Magic Island
Gyro Drop
There is no complicated explanation.
Just try it—if you meet the requirements and genuinely enjoy drop rides.
The ride slowly carries you high above Jamsil. At the top, you can see the city, Seokchon Lake and Lotte World Tower.
For a few seconds, the view is beautiful.
Then you may discover another version of yourself—the one who regrets every decision that brought you to that seat.

Many people look very confident while waiting on the ground. Confidence becomes much quieter at the top.
Recommended for: Serious thrill seekers
Not recommended for: Visitors with a fear of heights or health conditions affected by sudden drops
Gyro Swing
Gyro Swing is the energetic sibling of Gyro Drop.
Instead of falling straight down, it spins while swinging high above the ground.
Ride before eating a heavy meal.
Also remember that the people facing you are experiencing the same forces.

Recommended for: Serious thrill seekers who tolerate both height and spinning
Avoid if: You experience severe motion sickness or dizziness
Gyro Spin
Gyro Spin is generally the gentlest member of the Gyro family, but “gentle” is relative.
It still spins and moves quickly enough to provide excitement, but it is a more approachable choice than Gyro Drop or Gyro Swing.
Recommended for: Moderate thrill seekers moving toward stronger rides
Atlantis
Atlantis is one of Lotte World’s signature attractions and often has one of the longest queues.
It combines a fast launch, indoor darkness, outdoor sections, water-themed scenery and sudden changes of speed.
If employees ask you to stretch or prepare your body before boarding, follow their instructions.
There is no prize for pretending that you do not need to.

Recommended for: Roller-coaster fans and strong thrill seekers
Best strategy: Visit early and check its operating status before committing to a long queue.
Comet Express
Comet Express is a dark, underground spinning roller coaster.
For many people who grew up around Jamsil, it is connected with school trips, dates, and memories of visiting Lotte World as teenagers.
The cars rotate during the ride, so the track does not always appear in the direction you expect.

I remember this ride being incredibly exciting when I was a student. Years later, it is still exciting—but my body remembers it for a little longer.
Recommended for: Strong thrill seekers and visitors comfortable with spinning roller coasters
Haunted House
The haunted attraction is for people who claim that they are not afraid of ghosts.
Come inside.
Keep your eyes open.
The ghosts have prepared for your visit, so it would be impolite not to look at them.
Recommended for: Horror fans and groups of friends
Not recommended for: Very young children or visitors who strongly dislike darkness, sudden sounds and jump scares
Confirm whether the attraction is operating and whether it requires a separate fee before entering.
A Practical One-Day Ride Route
Do not repeatedly cross between Adventure and Magic Island.
Use the following route as a starting point and adjust it according to waiting times and weather.
1. Before Opening
Arrive at Jamsil Station 20–30 minutes early.
Prepare your ticket and check ride closures.
2. Immediately After Entry
Go first to the attraction that matters most to you.
For strong thrill seekers, this will often be:
- Atlantis
- French Revolution
- Gyro Drop
- Comet Express
Choose one rather than trying to run toward all four.
3. Morning at Magic Island
If the weather is stable, complete the outdoor attractions early:
- Atlantis
- Gyro Drop
- Gyro Swing
- Gyro Spin
- Comet Express
Outdoor operations can be interrupted by rain, wind or cold weather.
4. Late Morning and Lunch
Return to Adventure and eat before or after the busiest lunch period.
Avoid a heavy meal if spinning rides remain on your schedule.
5. Afternoon Adventure Classics
